Tidal Golf also works with organizations like 4ocean to donate money to ocean clean-up and other conservation efforts
Who is HHI, and how is it involved in sourcing the ocean-recycled plastic for your products?
HHI sources and certifies supply chains of ocean recycled materials, auditing the supply chain and certifying that materials are coming from the ocean or other waterways feeding to the ocean. They guarantee that the materials we use in our products are coming from the ocean and other waterways feeding into the ocean.
How much plastic waste is removed with each purchase?
Each Large Bag of Tidal Tees reduces 52g of ocean plastic waste. Each Small Bag of Tidal Tees reduces 23g of ocean plastic waste
Why can’t you use 100% ocean-recycled plastic in your products?
Ocean Plastic is recycled material and often can be more brittle than virgin plastics. When we tested our Tidal Tees using 100% ocean plastic, the tees were not durable enough to compete with other plastic tees on the market. Having a small percentage of virgin plastic included in the blend of material gives the tees more durability, similar to competitor plastic tees.
What other sustainability efforts are you involved in?
Tidal Golf works with 4ocean to contribute to ocean clean up activities, donating a percentage of product sales to the organization. You can also choose to donate to 4ocean when you complete your purchase, by selecting to donate $2 to 4ocean at checkout.
